Isaiah 9:6 Enjoyment

Isaiah 9:6 reads, “For a child is born to us, A son is given to us; And the government Is upon His Shoulder; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace”.  

In this verse, we see a reference to the divine Trinity.  This verse seems to confound traditional theology. But we need to realize that the divine Trinity is distinct but not separate.  We simply need to take the Bible as it reads! The Son is called the Eternal Father. This verse presents the Triune God to us for our experience and enjoyment much more than for our theological understanding! This was Brother Lee’s emphasis. His focus was on life, on the application of life and for the enjoyment of Christ as our life and the enjoyment of the Triune God. Ultimately, we need to be those who enjoy Him and live Him; knowing Him as the wonderful Counselor.
